History:

I grew up in Seattle, WA and enrolled at the University of Washington in 2000. The following summer I became a research assistant on the ZaP Flow Z-Pinch experiment, an innovative confinement concept for plasma fusion. Over the next three years this work became the foundation for further studies in applied plasma physics. I graduated in 2004 with a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, and am presently a Ph.D. student at Princeton University studying computational plasma dynamics and applications to electric space propulsion.

Research Interests:

Numerical Simulation of Propulsive Plasma Flows

MHD1D - A code for solving the one-dimensional ideal MHD equations

MHD2D - A serial / parallel code for solving the two-dimensional ideal MHD equations
